Control Zone is the popular multiplayer mode, exclusive to THPS3.
Description[]
It is a team-based game, somewhat similiar to Control Points mode in other games. There are zones on the level, usually six. Player can mark any zone with the team color only if he holds the key. Each zone has a multiplier. Each second some amount is added to zone score which is the summed multiplier of all tagged zones. Game goal depends on the settings. Server may select a time limit, zone captures limit or zone score limit. The most popular setting is no timed capture all zones once. Unofficially the team that got all zones in the end wins, even if it got higher zone score.

- Online Control Zone is often called CZ.
- Control Zone was meant to be named Own The Zone since this title is often used in game scripts as well as you can find OTZ on the game type icon in retail version.
