Chicago is a level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. First competition "Windy City Slam" is held in Chicago. The level re-appears in PC version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and the PSP version of Tony Hawk's Project 8 as an unlockable classic mode level. Most recently, remastered in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.

Origin

In THPS1, the level takes place in an indoor skate park given the name "Chicago Municipal Skatepark"; whether this location has any real-world inspiration in THPS1 is unknown. In Pro Skater 1+2, the level is based on House of Vans, located in Chicago.

Chicago is a competition level, thus players will be required to earn a medal to advance to the next levels. 8 goals need to be completed in previous levels to unlock this level.

Trivia

• Chicago was the only playable level in THPS Demo.
• In the THPS1+2 version of Chicago, there are posters around the level commemorating late skateboarder and skate historian Jeff Grosso, who died 7 months prior to 1+2's release.
