Carnival

Carnival is the eighth level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. The level is one of two levels that unlocked through purchase, along with Chicago.

Origin

The level takes place in a stereotypical pop-up carnival, and includes features typically seen in such attractions, such as rides, carnival games, and animals. The Carnival's exact location is unknown.

Trivia

• On this level, there's a "Haunted house" ride that the player can go through.
• There is a section near the Rocket Ride where you can hop the wall and encounter a alligator chasing you, if it collides with you it will count as out of bounds.
• A gorilla can be seen on one of the tea cups.
• If you enter a teacup on the teacup ride, it will trigger a unique out of bounds saying "No Free Rides!"
• Outside the carnival grounds, there is a water tower with the name "La Douche" written on it.
  • The water tower may hint at the level taking place somewhere in Texas.
• There is a guy standing in front of the goat behind the Rim Jam'n basketball game. This is the first of the running gag featuring the goat in the Tony Hawk's series.
• There are two minigames in the level. One involves a shooting gallery, where the player must press one of the four face buttons when the target reticule crosses over the corresponding target. The other is log cutting contest, where the player is pitted against two opponents and must saw more logs than the opposition.
